Why small dogs need a tracker plan

Small dogs can squeeze through fence gaps, dart under gates and disappear into bushes in seconds, and they're harder to spot once they're out of sight. An AirTag on the collar gives you a last detected location to start from. It isn't live GPS, but in suburbs and at busy parks, nearby iPhones update it often.

The challenge: collar width

The biggest issue for small dogs is collar width. Many toy and small-breed collars are 10–15mm wide. The Pawfetchers holder grips flat collars 15–25mm wide, so:

If your dog's collar is 15mm or wider, it should fit.
If it's narrower, the holder won't grip properly. Only move to a slightly wider collar if it still fits your dog comfortably — never loosen or change a collar just to fit an accessory.

Measure across the strap with a ruler before buying.

What else to look for in a small-dog setup

Low profile: a holder that sits flat on the collar is less likely to snag.
Stated waterproof rating: ours is rated to 1 metre for 30 minutes, so puddles, baths and swims are fine.
Comfort: watch your dog for the first few days and check the collar isn't rubbing.

How to fit it
